details. Most Clips run 3 to 5 minutes. Currently I
have just moved back to Calgary after 16 years in the USA and have been out
of radio for a few years mostly traveling and enjoying being a lady of
leisure LOL .. now I'm thinking of returning to the work I love and have
been driven to do since I was about 12 growing up in Montreal. At the
moment I am readjusting to being back in Canada, and to a very different
Calgary than what I left. I am continuing to run my own business which
really is a hobby of an online souvenir
magnet shop which is an extension of my love of travel. I'm an
avid photographer hobbyist and am currently contributing many of my photos
to www.wikipedia.org such as those from the Galapagos Islands. Please

In the control room at KRIL Odessa/Midland, Texas

Top left to Bottom Right
CFGM Richmond Hill (Toronto), Ontario - My first radio job
voice track operator 1987
Q91 / CKDQ Radio Drumheller (Calgary market) Alberta My first
on-air gig July 1988 - Dec 89
KPFT Houston, TX I spent several years from City Hall
Reporter, Morning Show Host including hosting Friday Talk Shows, Music Host from
1994-1997
KRIL (the last two) Odessa/Midland Texas .. this is out in the
West Texas desert, actually the first place we lived when moving down to Texas
back in 1991 -- what a great experience, this was my first radio gig after
leaving Q91 in Drumheller - I did everything here from operating talk shows,
hosting all shifts at one time or another from Mornings to evenings - including
hour long news blocks - I started doing a Sunday Morning Classical Music program
and remember the Station Manager, Clyde Butter, loved that I could pronounce the
names of the composers .. well for the most part :) .. having studied some
classical piano myself it was helpful.

KRVS Lafayette, Louisiana ... LOL a bad hair day! I did not
like living in Louisiana too much but my husband's office placed us there for a
year, glory be there was a great station at the University of Southwestern
Louisiana - I was initially brought in as a guest on a show since I had just
finished compiling a CD for the Houston Music Council in Houston, which was an
organization promoting local original music and bands -- when the host of the
show left to do a national program, she recommended I take on her program so I
got the call - and renamed it "Sound Excursions", played a lot of roots, blues,
acoustic music mostly from regional and a lot of Canadian bands -- even Stompin'
Tom Connors ... they loved him in Houston too! Oh if you ever go to
Lafayette, you have to ask for "a private cab" otherwise you get a taxi that
picks people up and drops them off along the way like a bus LOL and it cost an
extra $2 .. probably more than that now, this was a few years ago. Oh and
traffic was nasty !
A few brushes with greatness :) Randy Owen from
"Alabama" - B.J. Thomas, below Charlie Daniels, Garth Brooks
